Overview: 

The Irish Government has finally updated most of its advice and is now recommending the wearing of face coverings, an approach ICS adopted in the first week of March 2020 along with following WHO guidance on the cleaning and disinfection of environmental surfaces intended for health care professionals and more stringent NATO / 3M procedures and arrangements for PPE such as the use of P2 / P3 dual filter respirators.

All our staff are aware that if they develop a cough, shortness of breath, a fever or experience loss of smell or taste, they should stay at home, follow the guidelines for self-isolation and inform our company management immediately. All our staff are aware that any person living with someone who is self-isolating or waiting a COVID-19 test must restrict their movements for 14 days.


Company Status

As providers to the HSE, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, The Revenue Commissioners and The Department Of Communications, Certified Safes Ireland™ and Implemented Certified Security Ltd are considered an essential service provider.

We have no technicians who have been identified as being vulnerable or at-risk. All technicians have been advised that if their circumstances change management must be notified without delay. Home working has been adopted in accordance with public health guidelines for all staff apart from emergency service technicians.


Cross Contamination Control Measures: 

All our staff are required to maintain a distance of two meters from other individuals including other members of our staff when possible and to wear a P2 / P3 rated respirator, disposable gloves, and goggles at all times. If the nature of the work required makes compliance with these guidelines difficult, alternative arrangements should be considered.


Respirators: 

All P2 /P3 respirators have been fit tested and are individual to each of our staff members. Our staff are instructed not to touch or remove their respirator, goggles or gloves during a given service call or work task. These items are fitted before leaving their vehicle. If this is an issue for identification purposes, please contact us prior to placing a request for service.


Safe Distancing Guidelines: 

All our staff are required to maintain a distance of two meters from other individuals including other members of our staff when possible. Our staff are instructed to avoid contact with individuals who refuse to comply with safe distancing. If this occurs during an installation or service call our staff are instructed to leave the premises and report the incident to management.


Hand Hygiene: 

All our staff must follow hand hygiene guidelines using an alcohol-based hand gel with at least a 60% alcohol content or soap and water using health care hand hygiene washing methods for at least 1 minute.


Client Contact Control Measures: 

All our staff are required to maintain a distance of 2 meters from other individuals including other members of our staff and to wear a P2 / P3 rated respirator, disposable gloves, and goggles at all times. If the nature of the work required makes compliance with these guidelines’ difficult alternative arrangements such as afterhours completion of tasks should be considered.

Staff are instructed to avoid contact with individuals who refuse to comply with safe distancing, are persistently coughing or show signs of fever or respiratory illness. If this occurs during an installation or service call our staff are instructed to leave the premises and report the incident to management.

All our staff must follow hand hygiene guidelines using an alcohol-based hand gel with at least a 60% alcohol content or soap and water using health care hand hygiene washing methods for at least 1 minute.


Contamination From Vehicles Control Measures:

 All of our staff use their own vehicles and occupancy has been restricted to a single driver with no passenger. If two people are required to complete a task they will travel separately. All staff vehicles are regularly cleaned by their operators.


Soiled PPE Control: 

All PPE should be taken off and placed in suitable bio-containment after use. Disposable PPE should be destroyed / disposed of in line with WHO guidelines. P2 or P3 respirators must be removed by their straps and contained correctly. Cleaning must be performed using NATO / 3M procedures for biological and viral agents with close attention to valve alignment and use of the correct cleaning agent.

Control Measures For Tools And Equipment: Our staff are instructed to meticulously clean all equipment used during such work following WHO guidance on the cleaning and disinfection of surfaces intended for health care professionals.


Signing Of Delivery / Service Dockets Control Measures: 

For client and staff safety, all physical signing of delivery / service dockets has been suspended until further notice. All signing and confirmation of receipt / completion of goods and services has been switched to paperless e-mail or SMS text acknowledgement in lieu of physical dockets.


Food And Drink Control Measures: 

Our staff are instructed to bring water, a packed lunch including a thermos and to avoid visiting all takeaway outlets.


Mobile Phones, Keypads And Other Equipment Control Measures: 

Our staff are instructed not to use customer or client computers, accessories, and telephones during any site visit and to either avoid using their mobile phone while on a client’s premises or if such use is necessary, to decontaminate the device with a suitable anti-viral afterwards. Our staff are instructed not to share equipment or devices with other people, in particular mobile phones.


Review And Updating: 

Our safety procedures are reviewed weekly or as new information or equipment becomes available.
